The 34 Military Hospitals is one of the most proficient and result oriented hospitals in Sierra Leone. The hospital has over the years worked tirelessly to ensure that the health of all Sierra Leoneans irrespective of tribe, region or political affiliations is safeguarded.
The hospital is one among the best in the sub region in terms of providing health for all and sundry. Workers at the hospital have been lauded for their professional conduct in providing health services to their patients.
In an exclusive interview, the Community Health Officer at 34 Military Hospital, Wilberforce, Dauda Fallah, disclosed that, there are four priorities government can offer to its citizens.
One of the priorities, he said, is to provide quality healthcare delivery service, universal access to family planning services to increase economic productivity services, and setting up a national database to ensure that no one is left behind in terms of quality healthcare delivery services.
He further stated that one among the priorities is boosting the private sector, civil society organisations, religious and traditional institutions that are also playing pivotal roles in promoting health for all citizens.
Dauda Fallah expressed thanks and appreciation to the government of President Bio for the provision of essential healthcare services to the Wilberforce health facility and also raised concerns about the need for government to provide more support for the hospital.
Fallah stated that he has called on the government and other charitable institutions to come to their aid, adding that he understands the challenges of government but appealed for more support.
He said the 34 Military Hospital needs more facilities including hospital beds, salaries for workers and many other opportunities to enhance quality healthcare services delivery at the hospital.
He expressed concerns about the serious attention the 34 Military Hospital needs at the moment.
