Four accused persons: Hassan Koroma, Mohamed Koroma and two others, have made their first appearance before Magistrate Alhaji Suliaman Koroma at the Ross Road Magistrate Court No.1 for committing loitering, contrary to the Laws of Sierra Leone.
When the charge was read to them, all of the accused persons pleaded guilty of the offence and based on this the Police Prosecutor, Inspector Mohamed Gbonglor, tendered all the voluntary cautioned statements of the accused persons including their charge statements respectively to form part of the court records.
However, the accused persons asked for mercy but the presiding magistrate fined them two hundred thousand Leones (Le 200,000) each or one month imprisonment, noting that that would serve as a way of sending massage to those out there who may be involved in such action.
