BRAC Sierra Leone is undertaking a small scale disaster risk mitigation work through the “ Building Preparedness for Resilience project” financed by BILL & MELINDA GATES FOUNDATION targeting building the capacity of communities, institutions to build disaster resilience communities in Sierra Leone. The infrastructure will be used by the Rogbere community and Sierra Leoneans as a whole after the construction.
The project found constructing the drainage in the community is critical to mitigating disaster risks with particular reference to flooding in the community. BRAC Sierra Leone in wants to construct drainages in the Rogbere community, Port Loko district and so inviting bid from potential construction companies, builders, enterprise, local council engineers to construct the drainages with minimal slabs for access by vehicles and community members
Number of Drainages: 2 (Two)
Construction site: One of the project operating communities at Rogbere/Gbere Junction, Port Loko district along the Gbere Junction- Lunsar High way.
Purpose of the drainage:
1. To provide way for the water that settles in the nearby low land swamp on both sides of the Road/High way to empty.
2. To prevent flooding and other related disasters in the Rogbere community
Bidding Deadline:
Sealed bids should be addressed to: The Country Representative, BRAC Sierra Leone, (Attention: The Chairperson of Procurement Committee), 174 Wilkinson Road, Opposite Freetown Supermarket, Freetown and should be deposited in the Tender Box at the BRAC Reception not later than 21st February, 2020 at 1:00pm
*Only hardcopy of cost proposal/ BOQ in sealed envelope will be received at office hour.
** Lowest bidder will get preference considering the quality aspects.

A pre bidding briefing on drainage technical aspects like design, consideration and condition will be done on 18th February 2020 at 2:30 pm at Conference Room, BRAC Sierra Leone, 174 Wilkinson Road, Freetown, Sierra Leone. All FAQ will be answered in the briefing session.
