94 Cases Set for High Court

The September session for criminal cases has commenced at the High Court of Freetown on Tuesday, 17th September, 2024 presided over by the Acting Chief Justice of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Justice Nicholas Colin Browne-Marke with ninety-four (94) cases said to have been set aside for trial at the High Court.

The highest number of cases on the chart is store breaking and larceny followed by possession of Kush, robbery with aggravation, murder, treason and sacrilege.

The learned Chief Justice dealt with ten cases where some of the accused were granted bail and some were remanded in custody and their matters adjourned to later dates for trial before other judges.

Kabba Dumbuya, Thomas Nyuma Ganawa and John Mansaray who are standing trial before the judge for murder had their matter adjourned to a later date for trial.

The criminal session continues today.
