A Nigerian Dragged To Court For 46 Pallets of Cocaine

A Nigeria National who identifies himself as Iwuchukwu Ebere Christian from Imo State in the Federal Republic of Nigeria is in court for being in possession of forty six (46) pallets of cocaine at the Freetown International Airport in Lungi.

He is standing trial before the Principal Magistrate of the Freetown Magistrate Court No.1, Magistrate Mustapha Briama Jah.

Iwuchukwu Ebere Christian is before the Magistrate Court on four counts charges ranging from: transportation of prohibited drugs, collection of prohibited drugs, dealing in prohibited drugs and possession of prohibited drugs without lawful authority, contrary to Section 7(B) of the National Drugs Control Act of 2008.

Police have alleged that accused; Christian on Wednesday, 25th June 2025, at the Freetown International Airport in Lungi in the Port Loko Judicial District collected and transported prohibited drugs without lawful authority.

Police further alleged that Christian was also found dealing and in possession of forty-six pallets of cocaine at Lungi International Airport without lawful authority. When the matter was read and explained to the accused, no plea was taken.

The State Protector, Nathaniel Williams sought for an adjournment citing that he had just received the file relating to the matter. The accused was remanded until 24th July, 2025 for hearing.
