Ibrahim Brassay, popularly known as “Blessing,” a motorbike rider, has been sentenced to one year imprisonment by Magistrate Mustapha Brima Jah of the Pademba Road Court No.1 in Freetown for the offence of larceny,
The convict is before the court on a count charge of Larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.
The indictment states that Ibrahim on Monday, 15th December 2025, at Regent Park in Freetown, stole by trick one TVS CX motorcycle with registration number AWF 120, valued at Le 30,000, property of Rashid Saidu Conteh.
When the charge was earlier read and explained to the convict, he pleaded not guilty of the offense.
The matter was prosecuted by Inspector Mabel M. Tarawally, Esq. who led witnesses in support of her case and after which the case was closed and withdrawn for ruling.
Magistrate Jah in delivering his judgment stated that he has carefully considered the evidence of the prosecution and the Criminal record of the convict.
He emphasized that such criminal conduct must not be tolerated within the Freetown jurisdiction and, by extension, Sierra Leone as a whole.
Magistrate Jah therefore imposed a custodial sentence of one year imprisonment on the convict.
