Commonwealth Games—known as “Legends”—will be easily recognisable across the city in a vibrant uniform inspired by Scotland’s rich landscapes.

Whether assisting athletes during competition, welcoming spectators, or supporting media operations, the Legends will be united by a striking colour scheme of pink, blue and purple. Pink will serve as the defining colour for volunteers, featured prominently on sleeves, while technical officials will wear purple and Games staff teal.

Designed for both performance and comfort, the uniform consists of six key items suitable for all weather conditions. These include a breathable waterproof jacket with reflective detailing and tartan-lined hood, a softshell jacket made from recycled polyester, a quick-dry polo shirt, adjustable trousers, a 30-litre backpack featuring the Games’ bespoke tartan design, and a protective cap.

More than 2,000 volunteers gathered at the SEC Armadillo for an exclusive first look at the uniform as they began their training programme.

One volunteer, Wan Yueng, described the moment as exciting, noting that the uniform made the experience feel real and praising its comfort, colour and practicality.

The uniforms have been produced by Trespass, the Games’ Official Uniform Provider, following eight months of design and preparation. The volunteer programme is supported by Allwyn, operator of the National Lottery, which is also backing training efforts to ensure volunteers are fully prepared.

Chair of Glasgow 2026, George Black, said the city’s success in hosting major sporting events is driven by its people, describing the name “Legends” as a fitting tribute to the volunteers.

He added that the uniform represents more than clothing, serving as a symbol of unity for volunteers, officials and staff as the countdown to the Games continues.

Trespass representative Afzal Khushi said the designs were inspired by the company’s best-selling products, ensuring comfort and confidence for all wearers.

Meanwhile, Commonwealth champion Eilidh Doyle, who serves as an ambassador for Allwyn, emphasised the vital role volunteers play in delivering the Games, noting that athletes deeply appreciate their support.

She added that the “Legends” will become the heartbeat of the city when the Games get underway this summer.
