Hawa Kamara, wife of late Bankole Koroma on Wednesday, 10th June, 2026 made another appearance before Justice Abdulrahman Mansaray of the Freetown High Court for allegedly assaulting their tenant, Aminata Kamara which led to her death.
Hawa Kamara and her late husband were standing trial before the court until his demise two count charges of including conspiracy to murder contrary to Section 4 of the offense against the person’s Act 1861 and murder contrary to Section 1 of the same Act brought against them by the State.
The State alleges that Hawa Kamara on 14th March, 2024 in Freetown, conspired together with her late husband to commit murder.
The State further alleges that they both on 17th March, 2024 in Freetown, murdered Aminata Kamara.
Shortly after the matter was mentioned before the court, the State Counsel, Jesse Tucker informed the court that they are intending to take another line of action because they are being constrained in getting the witnesses to testify before the court.
Defense Counsel, Yassim Conteh on behalf of the Defendant, Hawa Kamara did not object to the application made by the State Counsel.
Meanwhile, the defendant is on bail and the matter has been adjourned to 17th June, 2026 for continuation.
