Cabinet Reshuffle: *Local Government Minister Sacked, *Rtd Brigadier Kelly Conteh appointed Security Adviser

President Bio has last evening made his first cabinet reshuffle a little over one year in office. The President made complete changes in the Foreign Affairs, Trade, Works and Local Government Ministries with new Ministers and Deputies.


At the international front President Bio brought in development expert and Development and Economic Minister Mrs.Nabelah Tunis to step into the Foreign Service together with Deputy Information Minister Solomon Jamiru Esq.

The reshuffle has also featured the appointment of seasoned diplomat Dr.Mustapha Kaikai from the International arena to the Development and Economic Planning portfolio.
Chairman National Commission on Privatization (NCP) and Secretary General for the ruling Sierra Leone Peoples Party, Umaro Napoleon Koroma was also appointed Deputy Minister of Justice to replace Abdulia Masiambay who was quite recently appointed Chairman Political Parties Registration Commission.
Ministers of Mines, Foreign Affairs and Works were appointed Permanent Representative to the United Nations, High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and Ireland and Senior Presidential Adviser and Ambassador at-large for Heritage and Cultural Affairs respectively.
The new comers are Foday Rado Yokie, Minister of Mines and Minerals Resources, Mamadi Gobeh-Kamara, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications and Tamba Lamina, Minister of Local Government and Rural Development.


It is yet to earlier to guage the views and comments of Sierra Leoneans with regards the cabinet reshuffle.
What has came out very clearly is that the President has kept on bloating the wage bill with the creation of additional two portfolios which includes Senior Presidential Adviser & Ambassador at-large for heritage & Cultural Affairs, Raymond De Souza George and Brigadier Rtd, Keillie Conteh, National Security Adviser.
