Five Incarcerated For Robbery With Aggravation

Samuel Kamara and four others have made their second appearance before Magistrate John Samai at the Ross Magistrate Court No.2 for allegedly robbing one David Bangura on 4th August 2019 in Waterloo, outside Freetown.
Police prosecution witness, Detective Police Constable 13106 Umaru Abdulai Fofanah, attached to the Criminal Investigation Department, Waterloo Police Station, testified that he recognized the accused persons and could also recall on 4th August 2019 while on duty when a case of robbery with aggravation was reported to the station by one David Bangura, the complainant.
The matter, according to him, was allocated to him for further investigations.
He continued his testimony by stating that on the same date he issued a police medical request form to the complainant (David Bangura) for examination and treatment at Connaught Hospital in Freetown.
The endorsed medical paper was returned to the Police station, the witness recounted.
The witness furthered that together with the Scene of Crime Officer Detective Sergeant 7793 Jalloh M, they visited the complainant’s house and disclosed that the following items: one life riffle ammunition, one empty bullet shell, one green ballet, one giant cutter, and one black trousers were discovered at the scene and photographs of them were taken by the Scene of Crime Officer, Detective Sergeant 7793 Jalloh M.
The exhibits, the witness noted, were taken to the station and later handed over to the Exhibit Clerk for safe keeping.
Mr. Fofanah continued that together with Detective Sergeant 12186 Collar A, they obtained statement from the complainant (David Bangura) and his witnesses respectively.
The witness concluded his testimony stating that on 28th August 2019, he charged the accused persons with the offence of conspiracy and robbery with aggravation, all contrary to the Laws of Sierra Leone.
They were all refused bail and the accused persons were remanded.
The matter was adjourned to 2nd December, 2019.
