Accused Incarcerated For Robbery with Aggravation

Mohamed Turay has made his second appearance before Magistrate Alhaji Suliaman Koroma at the Ross Road Magistrate Court No. 1 for allegedly robbing one Abdulai Manasary of his HL Star motorbike, valued at seven million Leones (Le 7,000,000).
The incident reportedly took place at the Yams Farms Plane Filed, outside Freetown.
Police prosecution witness, Ibrahim Tarawally and who also doubles as the bona fide owner of the said motorbike in his testimony, told the court that he recognized the accused as his former rider and that he could recall on 29th October 2019.
He continued that on that fateful day while at home the complainant, Abdulai Mansaray together with her mother came to him and told him that the accused in question together with unknown persons have attacked him with machetes and took the said motorbike from him.
The witness recounted that the complainant told the court that he personally knew the accused and according to him, he advised the complainant to report the matter at Hastings Police Station outside Freetown, adding that the accused was later arrested by police officers and were taken to the police station.
The accused was before the court on one count charge of robbery with aggravation, contrary to the Laws of Sierra Leone.
The details of the court indicated that Mohamed Turay on Saturday 29th October 2019 at Yams Farm Plane Filed, outside Freetown, conspired together with unknown persons to rob one Abdulai Mansaray of his HL Star motorbike valued at Seven million Leones (Le 7,000,000).
Bail was refused and he was remanded hence the matter was adjourned to 20th December, 2019.
