Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to China Espouses Chinese Resilience to beat Corona Virus

Sierra Leone Ambassador to China H.E.Ernest Ndomahina has espoused the resilience and determination of the Government and People of China to beat the Corona Virus that is presently having its toll on the country.
Ambassador Ndomahina called on all Religious bodies in Sierra Leone to remember China in their prayers against the backdrop that the Peoples Republic of China has always been with Sierra Leone through the thick and thin of the Ebola epidemic,the August 14th Mudslides and other critical times in the country’s history.
He gave statistics of the epidemic and what is been done by way of fighting back and confirmed that Sierra Leoneans on Chinese Scholarships at Wahun are doing well and that the Government of Sierra Leone has quite recently sent them their full scholarships allowances.
Ambassador Ndomahina also noted that the students will soon be supplied with additional facial masks to be able to protect them from the Corona Virus.
In another Development State House has last evening dispatched an official correspondence to his counterpart Xi Jinping of the Peoples Republic of China in these trying times in the country’s history and pledged the solidarity of the People and Government of Sierra Leone.
The outbreak of the Corona Virus in China has hugely affected small and medium businesses who mostly travel to China to purchase their goods.
Business people who spoke to this medium indicated that they have been able to travel to China and purchase goods due to the outbreak of the virus.
However the Ministry of Health and Sanitation and the Government of Sierra Leone has designed certain measures at the Freetown International Airport to screen passenger who enter and leave the country.
