Orange Sierra Leone Limited on Thursday, 26th March, 2020 donated veronica buckets, hand sanitizers, soap, gloves and other protective gears to the people of Constituency 128, in the west of the capital, including Wilberforce, Tengbeh Town and Hill Station.
Before handling over the items, the Public Relation Assistant of Orange Sierra Leone Limited, Cordelier Sofie Thomas, said this is the second donation they are making as, according to her, last week, the Company donated the same items to Hon. Haja Miatta Amara of Constituency 112 in western rural urban.
The said donations, she said, came following a request made by Parliamentarians of the two constituencies, on behalf of their constituents, in order to put preventive measures in place to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) that is currently killing people around the world.
Hon. Benjamin Turay of Constituency 128, on behalf of his people, thanked the management and staff of Orange Sierra Leone Limited for considering his Constituency. He expressed hope that the bond between his Constituency and the Company would continue.
He further assured the Company that the donated items would reach the target beneficiaries and that they would be used for their intended purposes, adding that donations came at the right time.
The MP further lavished praises on the Company for its continued support to the country in times of crisis, and prayed that the Company continues to offer more of such assistance to the country and people.
