SLWA Gives COVID-19 Relief to National Wrestlers and Coaches

The Sierra Leone Wrestling Association Wednesday 5th August, 2020 gave out relief support to wrestlers and coaches as a way of easing the COVID-19 effects on these athletes that has brought the sport to a halt over the past months.

The support includes a bag of rice and a reasonable sum of money to each of them.

Amidst the ban on all sporting activities in the country, these athletes have been doing their individual trainings and workouts prescribed by their coaches to keep themselves fit in time for the lifting of the restrictions by the government.

Among the athletes, a beneficiary of the Olympic Solidarity Scholarship, Foday Kargbo has placed more intensity in his personal trainings and workouts to get himself fit and ready going into the Olympic qualifications.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, one of Coaches Abdul Rahman Sesay expressed his thanks and profound appreciations to the Sierra Leone Wrestling Association Executive for such a stride and that this support will serve as a boost to them during these trying times.
