Bai Bureh Warriors made late celebrations after sealing promotion from the SLFA National Play Offs to join Sierra Leone Police (SLP), Mount Aureole SLIFA and Wusum Stars FC in the next Premier League in a dramatic final which saw scenes of heartbreak and joy after defeating Bullom Stars FC 2-0 in the North West Zone Final on Wednesday 17th March 2021.
The Northern giants, Bai Bureh Warriors and Wusum Stars, will have a taste of the Sierra Leone Premier League again after being away for a long time in the wilderness without a taste of the country’s top flight football, while Sierra Leone Police FC and Mount Aureole SLIFA will be having their first taste of Sierra Leone’s topflight football.
SLP FC defeated Estate Contractors 3-0 in Kono while SLIFA defeated Limo FC 1-0 at the Bo Town Field, and Wusum Stars narrowly defeated Kay Town Lions by a goal to nil at the Wusum Stadium in Makeni on Tuesday 16th March 2021.
