GTT Report Had Blacklisted Nabih Basma… From Contracts Dealings With GoSL

The GTT report of July 2018 page 33 k points to 60 titled ‘Corrupt Arms Deal’ had recommended that all the companies that that were implicated in fraudulent contracts, relating to the response to the Ebola outbreaks, should be blacklisted and henceforth not be considered for any Gosl contract.

West Star, owned by Nabih Basma, was implicated by the report to have overpriced a USD 15 million contract for the Supply of Military Vehicles to the Government of Sierra Leone by USD6.1, according to an audit report ending 31st December 2014.

The question this medium is asking now is why are the West Star and Royal International supplies companies, owned by Nabih Basma, a friend of fugitive Paolo Conteh, still continuing to benefit from huge and fabulous contracts under the New Direction?
