Alie Sorie Bangura has made his second appearance at the Ross Road Magistrate Court No.1, presided over by Magistrate Alhaji Suliaman Koroma.
The accused Alie Sorie Bangura, was stands in trial for the offence of burglary and larceny, which is contrary to section 32 (1) (a) of the Larceny Act of1916.
According to police charge sheet indicates that the accused Alie Sorie Bangura, on Saturday 14th December 2019, at Portee in Freetown judicial district, in the Western Are of the Republic of Sierra Leone, entered into the dwelling house of the complainant Ibrahim Bah and did steal therein certain valuable properties worth million of Leone, properties of the complainant.
The police prosecution witness Hawa Mariama Bah started testifying before the court that she acknowledged the complainant Ibrahim Bah as her son and that she recognized the accused and she recalled 14th December 2019 as well.
On that day the witness continued that, she was at home praying, when she overheard somebody knowing at the door of the complainant door Ibrahim Bah.
This, according to the witness, immediately stopped praying and came down downstairs to found out what was really going. She furthered revealed that as she approached the scene with her touch light, saw the accused Alie Sorie Bangura and this made her to screamed for help by shouting ‘tif tif ‘ adding that as a result, the accused Alie Sorie Bangura ran away.
The witness furthered that the accused was arrested by her close neighbors under a big truck within the scene where he went to seek for protection and he was taken to the Kissy Police Station in Freetown.
The witness concluded her testimony sating that, on the following day; she was called upon to make statement at the station.
The accused was remanded and the matter comes up January.
