Magistrate Abdul Sheriff of the Pademba Road Court No.3 has remanded Salifu Kamara for allegedly sexually touching and penetrating a sixteen year old child.
The accused is before the court on two counts of sexual penetration of a child and sexual touching, which is contrary to section 19 of the Sexual Offences Act No.12 of 2012.
The particulars state that the accused, on diverse date between 1st November and 30th November 2018 at West Street in Freetown, sexually penetrated and touched a child below the age of eighteen years, to wit sixteen years.
The accused did not plead guilty to the charges against him after they were read to him. Defense counsel I. Kanneh made a bail application on behalf of the accused, noting that he is a first time offender and will not jump bail.
Magistrate Abdul Sheriff did not grant the accused bail. He adjourned the matter to the 25th June 2019.
