AFCON 2025 Qualifiers: SLFA President Motivates Leone Stars Ahead of Chad, Zambia Encounters

The President of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Thomas Daddy Brima has lavish praises the Leone Stars technical team for their efforts in preparing the team ahead AFCON 2025 Qualifier for clash against Chad on September 6th and Zambia’s Chipolopolo on September 10th.
The SLFA Boss, together with the Minister of Sports, Minister of Sports Madam Augusta James-Teima and Ibrahim Nyelenkeh, the Board Chairman of National Sports Authority (NSA) visited the Leone Stars training at the Sierra Leone Football Academy field at Kingtom.
Speaking, President Daddy Brima highlighted the importance of the upcoming matches, encouraging the players to approach the qualifiers with maximum significance and determination.
He further encouraged the players who were not part of the final list to continue working and that being left out for the games does not suggest a lack of skill and competence, adding that the upcoming CHAN (African Nations Championship) qualifiers set to begin in October, which is an important opportunity for home-based players to showcase their talent. “This tournament is designed for local players and will help expose our boys,” Daddy Brima said.
The SLFA Chief underscored the importance of qualifying for major tournaments such as the AFCON, World Cup, and CHAN, urging the players to focus on delivering their best performance for Sierra Leone, emphasizing the need to seize every opportunity to advance in these competitions.
Meanwhile, Head Coach Amidu Karim had named his 25-man squad for Leone Star’s upcoming Africa Cup of Nations 2025 Qualifiers to face Chad and Zambia on September 6 and 10 respectively.
