Africell Presents Cash Prizes To Three Lucky Subscribers

By Musa Paul Feika

On Friday 17 March 2023 one of the leading telecommunications companies in Sierra Leone, Africell, presented and awarded cash prizes in the form of cheques to three lucky subscribers totalling seventy-five thousand new leones (Le75 million old note) through Africell win Kopo promo.

The three lucky winners include Sallu Koroma of Freetown, David Bangura of Waterloo and Granny Bangura of Kamakwie.

Welcoming the gathering, Abdul Aziz Kamara of Africell’s Communications Department, on behalf of the management, assured them that Africell believes that every subscriber is important and deserves the best from them.

Over the years, Mr Kamara went on that they have been offering quality and affordable communication services to their subscribers. That notwithstanding, he said they are determined to go beyond their scope by introducing innovative games and promotions to the Sierra Leonean populace and giving their subscribers the chance to win a colossal amount of money.

‘Today is another day we want to thank our subscribers for the trust and the relationship built over the years. Those who are not using our network, these are some of the reasons Africell is the envy of all the other networks in Sierra Leone,’ Mr Kamara said.

He encouraged Sierra Leoneans who are not using the Africell network to try and get an Africell SIM card for them to get a chance to be part of Africell’s innovative games. He said the “Win Kopo Promo” is simply for every Africell subscriber, assuring that the moment customers buy a top up, the Africell system will pick the number.

He said after their customers would have received a message from Africell and replied to said messages they would automatically be part of the draw to win cash prizes.

Mr Kamara said they have different draws including daily, weekly, monthly winnings and a grand prize, clarifying that the three lucky winners won the monthly winning, leaving each of them twenty five thousand new leones (NLe25,000) richer.

He said being that one of the lucky subscribers, Granny Bangura, who resides in Kamakwie, was not able to come to Freetown, for the presentation of the cash prize, he assured that they are going to do same in Kamakwie.

He said Africell as a family is willing and ready to take care of its members, emphasising that they are there to give back to their customers to make their lives better.

Mr Kamara congratulated the winners of the “Africell Win Kopo Promo” and encouraged them to enjoy the services Africell provides for them.

Handing the cheque over to one of the winners, the Station Manager of AfriRadio, Abdul Karim Sesay, welcomed journalists and assured them that ‘Africell staff is always happy to be among our colleagues’.

Lucky winner Sallu Koroma said when he received a call from Africell informing him to come to their headquarters, it appeared to him as in a dream, as he was not expecting to win such a prize from Africell.

‘I have to go home and spend a week to think what I am going to do with the money. As we are now in the Ramadan and I have been planning to do something for my parents, which I am to do now.

‘I am telling the other subscribers that indeed the promotion is real because it is a testament to me,’ Mr Koroma assured.

The AfriRadio station manager, Mr Sesay noted that the winners were neither the first and definitely won’t be the last because more promotions are on the way. He therefore urged subscribers to continue to subscribe for them to become “thousandnaires or millionaires” as the Africell Ramadan show promotion comprises a lot of packages.

The Media Relations Officer of Africell Madam Nancy Turay said as their subscribers expect much from them, Africell is also there to give back to them, assuring that this year’s Africell Ramadan Promotion will be offering a lot to their subscribers, whom he encouraged to join Afrimoney by dialling *161# and following the process. He added that they must also continue to subscribe be part of the “Africell Win Kopo Promo”.

Madam Turay urged those who are not using the Africell network to buy an Africell SIM card to be part of the promotions and simply dial 4888 and follow the process to be part of the “Africell Win Kopo Promo”.

Meanwhile, the Africell CEO thanked and encouraged subscribers to dial 4888 to get a chance to win many more cash prizes.
