AfriMoney and Africell Sierra Leone have provided Le150,000 in financial support to East End Lions FC as the club prepares for its upcoming CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

The cheque was presented on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, as part of a commitment made by the two companies during the unveiling of East End Lions’ new jersey, where they pledged continued support for the club throughout its continental campaign.

Speaking at the presentation, AfriMoney Chief Executive Officer Martison Obeng-Agyei reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting the East End Lions throughout the competition.

He encouraged the players to approach the campaign with pride, determination and professionalism as they represent both the club and Sierra Leone on the continental stage.

Receiving the support on behalf of East End Lions, Secretary-General Alpha Jalloh Esq. expressed appreciation to AfriMoney and Africell for their continued partnership and contribution to the club’s development.

Jalloh said the funds would assist the club in meeting key expenses associated with the campaign, including travel, accommodation, venue arrangements and other logistical requirements.

East End Lions will play the first leg of their continental fixture in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, before the return leg is expected to be staged at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Liberia.

With the club facing significant logistical demands, Jalloh described the financial assistance as timely, assuring supporters that East End Lions is determined to go beyond participation and compete strongly for qualification to the group stage.

He said the club remains committed to making a strong impression in the competition and bringing pride to Sierra Leone.

The latest support further strengthens the partnership between AfriMoney, Africell Sierra Leone and East End Lions as the club embarks on its continental journey.
