The lead mobile company in Sierra Leone, Africell, on Friday 28 April 2023 launched the “Afrimoney tross me EDSA” campaign. The launching ceremony took place at the Africell headquarters in Wilberforce, Freetown.
Making his remarks, Africell’s John Conteh said their company has yet unveiled another huge mobile platform that will help customers enjoy quality services in the country. He said the “tross me EDSA” platform will create opportunities for customers who are in urgent need of EDSA top up any day and at any time.
Mr Conteh said customers now have the latitude to use *161#2 and follow the instructions to get the service. Launching the “tross me EDSA platform” the Managing Director of Afri Mobile Money (SL Ltd), Martison Obeng-Agyei, said the company has launched yet another first of its kind platform in Sierra Leone.
He said the said launching of the “tross me EDSA” platform is the launch of a service that was never in existence in the history of Sierra Leone.
He said the “tross me EDSA” top up platform is a convenient and easy service, adding that the company is working towards giving customers electronic independence in the country.
According to him the platform gives the opportunity for customers using AfriMoney to “tross” EDSA top up in their homes. He pointed out that it is a way of recharging people’s meters by using AfriMoney.
The Managing Director said all the people or customers can do is to top up their wallets through AfriMoney, adding that it is geared towards giving freedom to the people of Sierra Leone.
The Chief Finance Officer of the Electricity, Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA), Mustapha Sannoh, on behalf of EDSA, expressed their sincere appreciation to AfriMoney SL Ltd for the partnership between the two institutions.
Mustapha Sannoh said EDSA considers the opportunity as a novelty, adding that the move by AfriMoney SL Ltd is in the best interest of EDSA customers using meters. He said it is also working relentlessly to aggregate the mobile market by increasing the opportunity for EDSA customers.
Sannoh considers the AfriMoney SL Ltd platform as the best partner while thanking the management of Africell for the partnership. He continued that the company also realised how strategic the partnership is, adding that for the shortest time the two companies have partnered, they have also realised a lot of good moves aimed at enhancing quality and affordable services for the people of Sierra Leone.
