By Barrie Alpha All is set for the semi finals of the ongoing 16th Edition Camp DIVA Youth Championship at the Kroo Bay Community field, which will be played in a home away basis. Four teams including Crips FC, Chillaz FC, Malamento FC and PS Zizo FC qualified to the semi finals after playing a marathon of games from the group stages, which consisted of 32 teams, where they were placed into eight (8) groups with four (4) in each group, to the second round knockout stage (Last 16) and quarter finals. The semi final first leg Match 1 will see Crips FC entertain Chillaz FC on Thursday 14th May 2021. Both teams are going into this match unbeaten in the entire competition. Big money spenders, Crips FC defeated Freetown Giants FC 3-0 in the quarter stage whilst their opponent defeated Dracula FC by two goals to nil to qualify for the semi finals. The second leg of this match will be played on Monday 17th May 2021. Oldies but the goodies, Malamento FC will take on the new kids on the block, PS Zizo FC in the semi final Match 2 on Friday 14th May 2021. This match will see a battle between the old foxes who consisted of experienced veteran footballers and the lads who happens to be some of the new generation and the future footballers of Sierra Leone. The return leg of this match will be on Tuesday 18th May 2021. According to the Coach Aziz of PS Zizo FC, his boys are well prepared and ready to spring a surprise by not only eliminating their opponent but to go ahead and win the championship trophy. “I know Malamento comprises of experience veteran players. I have a lot of respect for them. But trust me, my boys are going to spring surprises by eliminating them. We are very confident of winning the trophy,” he said. “We have mature and talented players who have played in the Sierra Leone Premier and represented this country in different categories, so I am confident that we are going to defeat PS Zizo FC in both legs,” said Coach Ayo Zappa of Malamento, who continued: “We have what it takes not only to eliminate Zizo FC in the semi finals but also to win the 16th Edition Camp DIVA Youth Championship.”
