In an effort to honour the national and global calls for peace and unity to reign in the main opposition government in waiting, All Peoples Congress (APC), the APC Party Diaspora Region will be holding what has been billed as an unforgettable retreat in The Gambia.
The transformative event is slated for the 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd of December, 2024.
According to the organisers of the “Retreat”, set against the stunning backdrop of Banjul, The Gambia, the gathering promises to foster deeper connections, inspire new ideas, and empower the mighty APC party. Above all, the retreat will unite the glorious APC party as the Founding Fathers would have wished.
In addition to fostering peace and unity across the party nationally and from without, the APC diaspora retreat among others will be a great moment for members, supporters and well-wishers to network and connect with party members, leaders, and supporters from around the world.
At the end of this important event on the party’s calendar of events as it gears up for all upcoming elections, the December retreat is also expected to strengthen bonds and act as a venue to share experiences that will enhance the party’s collective mission.
As part of the schedule of events for the four-day retreat, there will be empowering workshops and discussions where participants will engage in thought-provoking sessions led by esteemed speakers and party leaders.
The organisers of the Banjul retreat assured that the expected topics will explore political strategy, party members and supporters’ engagements, including but not limited to the future of the APC as a political party and government in waiting.
Most critically, since the retreat has been organised by APC members and supporters in the diaspora, the retreat will venture into matters affecting or dealing with supporters and members in the diaspora.
Matters crucial to APC members and supporters in the diaspora, not limited to the 2 SIM issue, the role of the diaspora in the APC party, byelaws, and unity will be ironed out.
The 19th to 22nd December, 2024 APC diaspora retreat in Banjul, The Gambia, will also be an occasion for cultural exchange as those attending the planned retreat will get to experience the rich cultural heritage of The Gambia through local cuisines, traditions, and artistic displays.
Those fortunate enough to be at the retreat are expected to immerse themselves in the vibrant power of the APC party, experience the effects and importance of grassroots mobilisation, and create lasting memories.
The organisers of the retreat said there will be strategic planning sessions where participants will collaborate with comrades of the mighty APC to outline strategies and initiatives that will drive the party forward in an ever-evolving political landscape.
All work and no play would make anyone dull. To avoid this there will be moments for R & R, rest and relaxation, where participants will be allowed and encouraged to enjoy the serene landscapes and beautiful beaches of Banjul during downtime.
The R & R will ensure that those attending the retreat will be able to recharge in the picturesque Banjul that offers a perfect blend of relaxation and inspiration.
The organisers of the Banjul APC diaspora retreat have encouraged those interested in joining them from the 19th to 22nd December this year to stay tuned for registration details and early bird pricing.
According to one of the organisers, “This retreat is not just an event; it’s a movement towards APC unity, empowerment, and action. Whether you’re a long-time member or new to the APC party, your voice matters. Together, we can pave the way for a brighter future. Don’t miss this chance to be part of something significant! We look forward to welcoming you to The Gambia for an enriching and inspiring experience.”
