As Coronavirus rages… Koroma Halts International Assignments

Former President Koroma has cancelled his engagements outside Sierra Leone owing to the outbreak of the Corona Virus.
The move to stop his international assignments was disclosed by an aide from the former President in the last twenty four hours through a press release.
The release noted that the former President took the decision after consultations with his colleague former heads of states.
He promised to activate his international duties when the Corona epidemic would have ceased.
Koroma was expected to serve as Guest Speaker at the birthday of former President Olusegun Obansanjo in Nigeria in the next few days.
Similarly, he is also expected to lead former African heads of states to observe the US Elections scheduled for November, this year.
Koroma recently returned from Togo where he led a 50-man ECOWAS Mission that observed the country’s election where he successfully returned the incumbent to power on the 21st February, this year.
Sierra Leoneans have applauded the move by the statesman who was President during the Ebola Virus outbreak in the country and in the region. No doubt that he has vast experience in handling such outbreaks.
