As Court Martial Continues… CCTV footage Shows Koita with AK-47 At Prison Gate

The Cyber Crime Officer at the Cyber Unit at the Criminal Investigations Department, CID headquarters, Mohamed Jusu, yesterday continued before Judge Advocate Mark Ngegba and Members of the Board his testimony where pictures and videos of some of the accused were played in court when they went to Pademba Road Prison to free the prisoners.

The video captured Koita holding an AK-47 rifle and giving command to the other soldiers in front of the prison gate on which way to go.

The CCTV video footage also showed two OSD officers holding AK-47 assault rifles in front of the prison gate.

The video also captured the firing of tear gas at the prison wall and the ninth accused, Staff Sergeant Idrissa Kallon, and Staff Sergeant Abu Dauda, the fourth accused, were also seen in front of the prison gate dressed in full military uniform holding AK-47 weapons and RPG launchers.

Also a vehicle with number plate “SLP 266” drove in front of the prison gate at Pademba Road and lots of soldiers including the eighth accused, Lance Corporal Eustace Neka, were parading up and down the prison gate at Pademba Road.

It also showed a soldier and a civilian dressed in street clothes going to the prison gate and peeping inside the prison.

The CCTV video footage also captured two other vehicles as they stopped at the prison gate and another officer wearing military pants and a white shirt alighted from the vehicle holding an AK-47 gun assault rifle, which he raised and started firing tear gas inside the prison.

Not too long the video also captured Koita and Soriba also holding AK-47s. Both men were dressed in denim jeans and T-shirts.

Later, all the vehicles left the prison complex and drove towards Dwazark junction.
