At COI… Justice Biobele Calls for Public Testimonies

The Justice Biobele Commission of Enquiry has notified members of the public that they will have the chance to testify at his Commission of Enquiry when he would have finally declared the ‘Jury Week’ scheduled for the last week of the Commission in September, 2019.
A release from the Secretariat of the Justice Biobele Commission of Enquiry reiterates the fact that people/members of the public who are willing to testify in the Jury Week hearings at the Commission must have closely followed the Justice Biobele Commission of Enquiry, and specifically a particular matter and should register with the Commission of Enquiry to subsequently testify ahead of a date which will be later announced by the Secretariat.
The Justice Biobele Commission of Enquiry has attracted much interest from the public amongst all the others and it is therefore not surprising that many Sierra Leoneans are always glued to their radio and TV sets to listen to matters at the Justice Biobele Commission of Enquiry.
It is believed that some members of the general public who were not invited as witnesses by the state must have pertinent information that could further help the Commission in its investigations.
The Commissions of Enquiry were set up in February, 2019 to investigate all persons who were President, Vice President, Ministers and Government officials who served between November, 2007 and April 2018 respectively.
This Commissions of Enquiry are part of the recommendations of the Governance Transition Team Report of July 2018 initiated by the Government of President Bio to espouse transparency and accountability in the business of governance in the country.
