Babadi Kamara, the Executive Chairman of Bo Rangers and Chief Executive Officer of the Southern Arena Stadium, on Friday January 19th 2024, boosted North East Region Sierra Leone Women’s Premier League clubs, Mena Queens FC and Albitaya Queens FC with financial and football support.
A cross-section of the North-East Region Football Association (NERFA) executive members graced the event held at its secretariat – Azzolini Highway in Makeni.
Hon. Mohamed Papa Bangura of Bombali District who received the items handed over Fifty Thousand Leones (NLe 50,000) and twenty footballs as he re-echoed Babadi Kamara’s passion and commitment towards the development of football in Sierra Leone.
The law maker noted that “This is not the first time he is supporting teams from this region, and many could recall that he also made a huge donation during the 2021 tragedy when players of Makarie lost their lives in a road accident.”
He further went on to state that the support was even as both teams received Twenty-five Thousand Leones (NLe 25,000) and ten footballs each.
Sulaiman Sillah Sesay, Chairman, Bombali District Football Association, appreciated the gesture and commended Babadi Kamara who is complementing the effort of the current administration of the Sierra Leone Football Association in its strides to make the game not only visible but also improved in all cadres.
The Skipper of Mena Queens FC, Mariatu Haja Conteh expressed gratitude to Babadi Kamara for supporting the growth of female football in the region and the country.
