Bench Warrant For SLRSA Director

Magistrate Hannah Bonnie, who presides over the Industrial High Court of Sierra Leone, has, on Saturday 18th April, 2020, ordered one Inspector Taylor to arrest the Director of the Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA), David Panda Noah, as against the next court sitting.
The defendant, David Panda Noah, was arraigned before the court on one count charge of failing to pay National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) contributions, which is contrary to Section 32 (1) of the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) Act No. 5 of 2001.
Court details state that the Director of Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA), David Panda Noah, being an establishment and employer under the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) Act No. 5 of 2001, on diverse dates between July 2015 and February 2017, at Kissy Road in the Freetown Judicial District in the Western Area of the Republic of Sierra Leone, failed to pay NASSIT contributions for his workers within the required period.
The matter was adjourned to 25th April, 2020.
