The District Security Coordinator, office of National Security Kenema,Alim Abass Kamara has condemned the recent fracas between Bike Riders and the Road Safety Corps officers.
In an interview with this medium, Alim Abass said they were in a security meeting last week Friday in one of the chiefdoms in the district, when they were informed of a clash between Bike Riders and road safety corps at the Office of the Road Safety Corps along Blama Road in Kenema.
He said, with the intervention of the Police they were able to quell down the situation.He disclosed that, on their way to Kenema they were again informed that bike riders had again regrouped and besieged the offices of the Road Safety Corps and damaged property worth millions of Leones. He described the action of the    Bike Riders as very unfortunate.
He said the Kenema District Chairman of the BRU summon a stakeholders meeting to map out measures in settling the impasse between the two parties and dissociated  himself from any indisciplined act.
Alim Abass Kamara said, the road safety corps has the constitutional mandate to ensure that all motor bikes and vehicles plying the roads are licensed stating that bike riders have no right to resist arrest as long as they do not have proper documentation.
