“Bio Is Heading For Jail” – SLPP Stalwarts

Must read

According to leading members of the ruling Sierra Leone Peoples Party (SLPP), president Bio is heading to jail at the International Criminal Court (ICC).

The SLPP stalwarts said when God wanted to humble someone, he would elevate that person citing pharaoh as an example.

‘God told pharaoh that he elevated and promoted him for the sole purpose to humbling him before his subjects, Israel and the world.

“Coming closer to home, we believe that president Bio resurrected his career for this moment when the ICC invited him. He was led back by God to pay for and complete unfinished business,” the SLPP strongmen confided in this press.

That Bio’s past sins might be coming to reap the benefits of karma, the men reminded that in 1992 Bio and his friends overthrew President Joseph Saidu Momoh because they weren’t pleased with how he was running the country.

At the end of the day, former police chief, James Bambay Kamara, Yayah Kanu and 26 others were executed by firing squad.

Right in the midst of their successful overthrow of the government, Bio, Mondeh, Tom Nyuma and others overthrew Valentine Strasser in a bloodless palace coup.

During the tussle between ‘peace before elections’ or ‘election before peace’, Bio later called for fresh elections which he conducted and handed power over to Ahmed Tejan Kabbah.

The move from military to business suits at State House was accomplished by Bio and his cohorts. It must be recalled that after taking over, President Tejan Kabbah confessed that not a single cent was left in state coffers after the soldiers left government; in other words, the state was fleeced dry by the junta regime.

Despite calls by all and sundry for President Kabbah to prosecute Bio and his gang for corruption, he decided against it in the name of maintaining the peace.

Kabbah had said prosecuting people was not part of his mandate as he  was preoccupied with consolidating peace and maintaining national unity and cohesion.

The late president was concerned with the people’s interest not what will drag them back into the mud of civil conflict by instituting commissions of inquiry into the activities of the soldiers while they were running the state.

It is the view of every Sierra Leonean that Bio’s second coming to politics to his days as head of the junta, there is a lot that president Bio can be prosecuted for at the ICC.

Bio was gone for 16 years before returning in 2012. While he was away he was unemployed and was being supported by many people. He came back as if the nation and party owed him something.

He was here to take what he reckons is rightfully his. But he started losing the fight on the same point he said the APC had stumbled on: corruption and financial leakages.

The Bios have stashed away enough public money for their retirement if he does not end up at the Hague.’

On the second leg of his urge, which we now know was ordained by God, to come back, Bio took up the name “the Tormentor”. After failing as the Tormentor, he came back as PAOPA, the forceful ideology that would define the rest of Bio’s interactions with the public.

In his entire moves from the first term, president Bio would force his plans and actions on the people, who would resist him through their representatives in the House. None of his plans was met with widespread acceptance and applause.

‘God brought Bio back for God’s purpose. How do you think he has been able to do all he has accomplished although they were all against established protocols?

Because God was setting him up for the fall. His first fall came when he removed 10 APC parliamentarians and replaced with SLPP runners-up using the courts instead of a bye election as per law.

This action forced the opposition to protest for which police officers were invited into the sacred Well of Parliament to manhandle lawmakers. But Bio’s problems started with the first innocent civilian that was shot by state police officers while they wanted to protest their living conditions.

The president’s free education programme and his anticorruption, anti-lawlessness and anit-indiscipline projects all failed to meet their mark as  money  set aside for these projects were unaccounted for.

Actually president Bio in his first term team improved on the campaign against corruption, they made it worse.

They took it from ground level to the heavens. They blocked leakages for others but left the window wide open for the PAOPA people.

Based on all the people this regime killed, the human rights abuses, disenfranchising whole districts, destruction of private properties in the heat of the electioneering process, the rigging of the 24 June elections, and much more, our president was invited by the ICC’s chief prosecutor. God’s work with Bio like he did with pharaoh is drawing to a close.’

God is a God of justice. Anywhere there is injustice, where innocent blood gets spilled without that person getting justice, no matter how long it takes, the Lord will have his way. We only wait to see what his real plan for Bio’s second coming is.
