A Chinese National who identified himself as Zhou Wenjie on Wednesday, 6th August 2025 was dragged to court by Complainant, Musa Baba Conteh for allegedly wounding and assaulting him.
Wenjie was brought before Magistrate Sao Mamakoh Kallon of Pademba Road Court No.3 on two count charges of wounding contrary to Section 20 of the Offence Against the Person’s Act of 1861 and assault occasioning actual bodily harm contrary to Section 47 of the same Act.
The indictment states that Wenjie on Sunday, 4th May, 2025 at Waterloo, in the Western Rural District, maliciously wounded and assaulted Musa Baba Conteh in a manner occasioning on him actual bodily harm.
After the charges were read and explained to the accused, he pleaded not guilty of the offence.
The Prosecutor, ASP Kamara sought for an adjournment indicating that the complainant is sick.
The accused was granted bail and the matter was adjourned to 12th August, 2025 for hearing.
