By Paul Lamin in Kenema

During an exclusive interview with this medium over the weekend, the head teacher of Christadelphia Primary School at Talia Makaya in the Nongowa chiefdom, Kenema District, Amadu Musa Kamara, said the school will achieve quality and affordable education for his pupils at all times, which will be in line with the new educational plans of His Excellency Dr Julius Maada Bio.

He said the school was established in 2008 and is getting support from Christadelphia Bible Mission in the United Kingdom.

Amadu Musa Kamara called on parents and guardians to send their children to the school. He said that there are eight trained and qualified teachers with an enrolment of nearly 200 pupils in his school. He said the teachers are only receiving stipend from the Mission. He appealed to the government to ensure his teachers are approved as they are making a lot of sacrifice for the children.

In a related interview, the Board Chairman of the Islamic Secondary School in Kenema, Alhaji Bob Foday, has assured the public that the Board, in collaboration with the school administration, is putting modalities in place to have a single shift system come September 2018.

He made this assurance during a one day meeting with the school administration at the Junior Secondary School staffroom in the school campus.

He said the phasing out of SSS4 will increase the number of pupils in SSS3 and that pupils from SSS2 to SSS3 will have special attention by being in separate classrooms as they will be having more time to cover for the West Africa Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination syllabus.
