Where is Ibrahim Washingah?
Since all four (4) journalists reported assault and wounding matters to the Police, accusing Deputy Minister of Trade, Ibrahim Washinga, as the leading suspect who masterminded the beating, the Police has not been able to call him for questioning. I believe he is not above the law and he should be invited for questioning as the law requires. We are waiting.
President Bio’s meeting with the Military hierarchy
His Excellency sir, in as much as we are not averse to you meeting with the military hierarchy at this point in time and the discussions therein, we are also concerned that such discussions had attempted to allay the fears of the high command as well as downplay the very alleged assassination attempts on your life.
The NSCCG, the highest security body in the country, has set up an investigation into this very serious issue and a very senior Police officer is looking at what happened immediately your Party scribe made these allegations. Mind you, sir, this also concerns the integrity of these very senior military officers hence a logical conclusion would help towards this direction.
It would be not be in the interest of the state and these officers if this issue is wrapped up in the carpet without us knowing the truth. It is in this vein that we call on your good office to allow the investigation to take its natural course, sir.
Kasho Joseph Holland Cole should stay calm and emulate Aki-Sawyer
Kasho Joseph Holland Cole, Chairman elect of WARD-C, should stay calm and act like a father of the District. He is not a chairman for the APC but for the entire district in which the APC has 60% of the votes cast whiles the SLPP accounting for 40% of the total votes cast. He needs everybody and hence his utterances and actions matter in moving the district forward.
Politics is over and this time every hand should be on deck to move the District. He should try to reach out to everybody as he stands a huge chance of returning the district to its hay days.
That APC Austerity that was never accounted for
The APC austerity measures that were instituted by the Government a year go with the establishment of a number of cut down measures was supposed to have an end. We expected the Government to have come back and explain whether these measures really impacted on the economy. But alas the writings are clearly on the wall that they did not succeed. How sure are we even that these cut-down measures were really followed by the Ernest Bai Koroma Government? Watch out, Mr. President, you are taking over an austerity Government.
Systematic Violence Across The Country: A Wake Up Call For President Bio
The widespread and systematic violence across the country should be immediately nipped in the bud. It might not be in the interest of the new team to rule over a violent and divided country. The dancing and merry making must stop now and something be seriously done to stop these violence across the country. The new regime should be able to look at whether this is a calculated ploy to sabotage him or it is a case of reprisals from supporters. By now the Police should be able to establish this and come out with a strategy to curb these violent attacks on lives and properties.
