POLITICIZATION OR REGIONLIZATION?
When politicians establish development projects solely on the basis of gaining political mileage and not on the basis of propriety it smacks of bad governance. And the results of such governance is now being experienced by the outgone government.
Sierra Leone used to export rice though it is its staple food. This is obviously because there was excess of it for consumption locally. Because of unlimited corruption by the largest serving party, the APC, Torma Bum has been known since colonial days as the potential bread basket of Sierra Leone. But the APC ignored this fact simply because the area is not in its stronghold. As a result millions of dollars of rice are imported into a country that was once an exporter of the commodity. Which party bears the greatest responsibility for such vicissitudes? You know the answer.
Now the present realistic government is bringing development to where it should take place regardless of stronghold or weak hold.
RITUAL MURDER INDULGENCE
Ritual murder is always linked with the craving for power and this time round it is our traditional rulers that are involved. It is the involvement of pagan rulers who are living without God and without hope in the world save to achieve power and go to hell.
It is high time that government puts a stop to indefinite Paramount Chieftaincy. This is because of the heinous crimes some of them perpetrate owing to their life tenancy.
Last year it was reported incontestably by Emmanuel Aiah Senessie that Chief Denton Bona of Nimikoro Chiefdom in Kono District was implicated but no action was taken by the incumbent government. The chief was known to be so unpopular that he no longer slept in Jaiama, the chiefdom headquarter town. This was also said to be related to the allegations of cannibalism including ritual murder over his head. Two people are reported to have disappeared in Simbakoro, one an adult male and the other an eleven year old in 2015 and 2016 respectively. In April 2017, there was the reported case of a baboon that appeared in a farm in one of the villages not far from Jaiama and attacked a man. According to the testimony of the man’s wife the baboon had a wig on his head with boots and a pair of red socks on his feet. Murder baboons! Boh lef me!
