PRESS ATTACHES WASTAGE
It would appear that what the New Direction government is recouping is to be spent on wastage projects as long as it had been the practice of the old direction. What is the need to deceive the electorate when most of what is being done is Old Direction.

The willy Dr.Siaka Stevens without any New Direction had Information Agents in all chiefdoms in the country equivalent to the British M15 that kept the government informed about all issues in the country.Now Press Attaches are about to be sent to lie abroad with little to do except to serve as office messengers in some embassies. Some of Ernest Koroma’s Press Attaches were not fit for purpose. Press Attaches in all places will not benefit the government but only themselves. Shelve the idea and strengthen internal information at grassroots level.

EXEMPLARS IN HARD WORK
Thanks to the dangerous corona virus (not for killing) we now have a clearer idea of why China a century ago is now the second largest economy in the world and well advanced in science and technology.It takes only two words that define that namely HARD WORK.Perhaps this is why our first Prime Minister Sir Milton Margai said that Independence means hard work.Have we paid heed to that advice ever since? Certainly not.Our Skewed idea of Independence is to relax and have a good time.After all we think minerals will bring in foreign exchange and there are donors and grants. These Chinese have a population of over 1 billion whom they feed without famine and even donate rice our staple food to over seven million.
What is more impressive about the Chinese is that they could build a one thousand bed hospital within nine days .Not only that it is fully operational .How long will 100 Sierra Leoneans take to construct the proposed diagnostic hospital. With all our lackadaisical attitudes it may last a whole year. After the corona epidemic it may serve the government well if they send middle class workers to China just to learn how to do hard work.
PAOPA Failures in Discipline
It was expected that the paopa regime headed by a military man who was a member of the former disciplinarian NPRC would instill discipline within the citizenry but it has not happened.
A)Bikes evading the Freetown.
There was a time when bikes were forbidden to enter the central business districts.It resulted in fewer accidents for several months.But gradually the bikes of senior police officers started entering the district until they have swamped the city once again.As a result accidents have again risen
b) Number Plates :
Vehicle Number Plates are necessary in every civilized nation and that is being generally done.In any case it is surprising that under the paopa regime government officials are covering their number plates at night to perform mischief.That was the practice during the last regime which has continued under paopa regardless.Tell City Peep the difference between the two

The last regime rightly banned Sunday trading and it went well because we are not in an Islamic State.President Bio came on the scene and because he wants cheap popularity he lifted the ban up to 12 noon.Now traders start their businesses at 6:00 am without any hindrance.It is a fact that if there was no Sunday trading the incident at the headquarter would not have happened paopa could only be popular by reducing the cost of living and not by Sunday trading which most Christians are not even in favour of.
