THAT HACKING HOAX BY THE POLICE
The decision to send a group of armed riot police and military personnel to a house in Goderich to check for computers and other equipment that the Police described as equipment that are capable of hacking NEC computer system is a Hoax, according to the NEC Chief Returning Officer. This was a shame to our Government and the Police.
Various heads of different observer missions have rubbished these claims. One does not need to have an IT background to understand that the current system used by NEC is largely manual. Apart from all this, it was exactly 2 pm in the afternoon exactly seven (7) hours after polls opened when the Police stormed the so called residence at Goderich.
Both presidents (John Duramani Mahama and Goodluck Jonathan) have described the Police action as completely disproportionate and could have been handled more maturely. How shameful is this to our hard worn democracy? If not for the presence of the observer team and especially his Excellency John Mahama this could have sparked off very serious issues for the process.
THE GREAT LION MOUNTAIN RADIO OF WATERLOO
Radio Lion Mountain 101.4 in Waterloo, owned by the politician and sports administrator and would-be Chair for the Western Area Rural District Council, should admonish his boys not to use the radio to attack political opponents or individuals who do not seem to support him.
On polling day the announcer on duty was continuously accusing Chief Betebeh of Waterloo of showing people where to vote. This allegation had no substance as the announcer was not able to show where this was happening. This was a case for the Police but the announcer had merely wanted to use this medium to castigate the great Chief Betebeh.
