Hon. Bhendu is the Deputy Caucus Leader of C4C Political Party in the well of Parliament. He distributed hand washing rubbers, soap and other items worth millions of leones to the people of his constituency.
According to Hon. Saa Bhendu, the donation is a way of complementing the efforts of his C4C political party and the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) led government in the fight against the COVID-19, which is currently ravaging nations across the globe.
He stressed that coronavirus is real and people should stop the denial syndrome for the safety of all and sundry. The Hon. Member of Parliament undertook a brief sensitization campaign on the use of the hand washing rubbers, and informed his people about the dangers associated with the pandemic.
The Chiefdom stakeholders, Councilors and many others were given the opportunity to make statements. Each of them thanked the Member of Parliament for the donation. They described him as a man of the people who has his constituents at heart.
Other stakeholders also spoke on how to effectively use the opportunity given to them in order to prevent the virus from entering Kono District.
The items were equally well distributed, so that all the Wards, in his constituency, benefit and will have something to show to their people about COVID-19.
