Senior workers of the Sierra Leone Drivers and General Workers Union in east end Freetown have highly commended the police officer Inspector A. Thullah for cowing ruthless commercial drivers into submission in that part of the capital.
According to the Union workers, since Inspector A. Thullah was posted to the Traffic Department of the Kissy Police Division, the number of cases of accident has reduced drastically and that certain measures have been put in place to deal with lawless commercial drivers.
They lamented the ruthlessness of commercial drivers in east end Freetown but however observed that with the robustness of Inspector A. Thullah in dealing with lawlessness, most commercial drivers have started conforming with traffic rules and regulations.
They also praised the police Inspector for using his policing knowledge to sensitize uneducated drivers on road signs, speed limit and approach towards commuters and traffic officers.
The union workers also drew the attention of the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Francis Allieu Munu to the total commitment of Inspector A. Thullah in sanitizing the traffic system in that part of the capital.
