Eight Sierra Leonean Students, Six Chinese Quarantined at Harmony Hotel Lungi

Reports from Targrin Lungi have disclosed that fourteen (14) individuals including eight (8) Sierra Leonean students studying in Wahun China and six Chinese nationals are currently quarantined at the Harmony Hotel at Targrin Lungi since Tuesday 11th February, 2020 for medical observation.
Mustapha Mansaray Lead Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Lungi Government Hospital told Nightwatch that he is responsible to ensure that all nationals from countries that are battling with the Corona Virus entering Sierra Leone through the Freetown International Airport should are isolated for a 14 days period to thoroughly observe their medical status before allowing them to enter the rest of the country.
He disclosed that a State Nurse is assigned to these Sierra Leonean students and Chinese nationals and regularly conducts temperature checks after every eight hours on these quarantined individuals to ensure that they are doing fine.Mr .Mansaray however disclosed that for the past six days all of them have normal temperatures
The Ministry of Health and Sanitation according to him is footing the hotel bills with three meals per day for all the fourteen (14) individuals quarantined at the Harmony Hotel.
Hotels workers attached to the hotel he added are also subjected to screening and body temperature checks and also working with complete Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Chief Pa Alimamy Osman Kamara of Old Town Community,Targrin also disclosed that they were very worried when they learnt that a group of individuals are quarantined in their community for close observation by the Ministry of Health and Sanitation but their fears have been allayed from reports they are getting from the management of the Harmony Hotel.
The old town community housing the Harmony Hotel is quite and various community people are going about their normal businesses.
The inhabitants of the Old Community are mostly engaged in farming, fishing and petty trading.
