The Operations Manager of Con and Sil Security Services on Lightfoot Boston Street, Freetown, Gershon Compagnie Coker, was yesterday remanded at the Pademba Road Male Correctional Centre for the alleged chopping of Le13, 000, 000.00 (Thirteen Million Leones) meant for the company.
The accused is charged with a count of embezzlement, which is contrary to Section 17 (b) of the Larceny Act of 1916.
According to the indictment, the accused, between 31st January and 31st May, 2020 at Klynveld Peat Marwick Goerdeler (KPMG) office along Siaka Stevens Street in Freetown, received Thirteen Million Leones on behalf of the Con and Sil Security Services.
The accused is not represented and, therefore, no bail application was made on his behalf. He was refused bail by Magistrate Bonnie.
The accused was remanded in custody and the matter comes up again on Thursday 23rd July, 2020.
