Exhibit Clerk Testifies In Court

Detective Sergeant 10257 Abu Kamara, attached to the Exhibit Clerk Office at the Ross Road Police Division in east end Freetown, has testified in the matter concerning one Ishaka Kamara, who was charged with the offences of wounding with intent, wounding and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The Detective Sergeant highlighted his duties and responsibilities that include keeping exhibits in connection with a matter that has been investigated and the safe keeping of all exhibits.

The witness said, on 7th April 2020, he was on duty at the Exhibit Clerk Office at the Ross Road Division when Detective Police Constable 1944 Kamara handed over a yellow scissors to him for safe keeping and it has been in his custody since. He said he registered the scissors in the Exhibit Book against serial No. 31/ 2020 and it was produced and tendered as exhibit.

The indictment stated that Ishaka Kamara, on 7th April, 2020 in Wellington, wounded and assaulted the complainant, Alhaji Samuel, in a manner thereby causing him grievous bodily harm.

Though the accused was granted bail, the matter was however committed to the High Court of Freetown.
