As a way of motivating players, Football for a New Tomorrow FANT-Sierra Leone is presenting official match footballs to players of the match in selected games in the ongoing Sierra Leone Premier League.
According to the Media and Marketing Officer of FANT, Osman ‘Kondos’ Kamara, in the quest to promote and develop sporting activities in the country, they’ve decided to present official match footballs to winners of the match in selected games that play in Freetown and the provinces.
“As a motivating factor to players, in the ongoing Premier League, we are presenting a ball to the winner of the man of the match in selected matches playing in the Provinces and Freetown,” he said.
“We’ve provided over 25 official match footballs and we will do more to make sure that the players are motivated to perform well in the upcoming matches,” Kondos stated.
He went further to disclose that FANT is contemplating on installing artificial turf at the Aberdeen Field, as talks are ongoing between FANT-Sierra Leone and the stakeholders in the community.
“It’s only left with the community stakeholders, the Honorable Member of Parliament and the people of Aberdeen to give us the clearance to install the artificial turf. We have our FANT project in that community and we’ve been operating there since 2012. So we want to make them become another beneficiary of the artificial turf after the one at the X-Ray Arena, SS Camp in Regent Village,” Kamara affirmed.
