An indisputable source within the Office of Her Worship, the Mayor, Yvonne Aki-sawyer, has it that she will be quarantined for fourteen (14) days after returning from London. This is to ascertain whether she might show any signs of the deadly corona virus.
Sources furthered that the Mayor was on an official visit to London, but she will arrive in Sierra Leone on the 20th April,.
It could be recalled that the government, through the Ministry of Health and Sanitation, have set up mechanism at the country’s International Airport for the isolation of all citizens and non citizens coming from countries that are corona virus prone.
With regards neighboring Guinea and Liberia, they have already recorded confirmed cases. Panic has gripped many Sierra Leoneans taking into consideration the country’s weak health system and porous borders.
