Upon accepting the invitation, President Infantino remarked that: “It will be a unique opportunity to share our vision of football and the ways to further develop our game in your country and promote its values.”

The visit was the first in history of Sierra Leone and thus a landmark event.

It is also feather on cap of government and SLFA to have such personalities in the country.

The two football giants hoped to meet with the President of Sierra Leone, Brigadier Julius Maada Bio.

An interaction session with the Sierra Leone Football Federation Family is also expected.

A cross-section of Sierra Leoneans who spoke to this press expressed joy as they hope that football would be restored in the country through the visit.
