Tony Morgan, Strategic Communications Officer in the Office of Her Excellency the First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone has told newsmen that Sierra Leone is set to present a five billion dollars investment project at this year’s EXPO 2020 Conference.
Mr.Morgan disclosed that Sierra Leone has not shown any gains from their previous attendance of the EXPO in and largely attributed this to the lack of inadequate planning and lack of specific goals.
This he added was further compounded by the believe that all Africa has to offer is culture.
‘’Sierra Leone is in fantastic position to take full advantage of what EXPIO has to offer in terms of practical investment,’’ he stated.
Mr.Morgan further disclosed that Sierra Leone’s preparation has started with the identification of viable short and long term projects with clear estimates and defined timelines from different sectors.
These projects he recounted will be presented to the Presidential team with the close and active participation of both the private and public sector players.
Sierra Leone under the purview of the First lady is expected to present both short and long term projects worth $ 5 bn.
The EXPO is an event held every five years and hundreds of countries use the event to show off their latest in architectural and technology.
