For Alleged Larceny… Business Tycoon In Court

Kofi Clarke a business tycoon on Wednesday 21 January 2026 made his first appearance before Magistrate John Manso Fornah of Pademba Road court no.2 in Freetown.

He was arraigned before the court on two count charges of Conspiracy to commit a crime contrary to law and Larceny in dwelling house contrary to section 13 (a) of the larceny Act 1916

According to the particulars of offence, the defendant on a date unknown between, November 1st and December 24th, 2025 at No. 14 Priscilla Street in Freetown conspired with other persons unknown to commit a felony to wit larceny at a dwelling house.

The indictment further stated the defendant on the same date and placed entered into the dwelling house of Rella Mac Boimah and stole two window cottons, two red carpets and other assorted properties of Rella Mac Boimah.

When the charges were read and explained to the defendant no plea was taken.

The Prosecutor, ASP Sorie Sesay states that he has served the defendant with copies of the file and the defence counsel has got knowledge of it.

Counsel representing the defendant E.T Lassayo at this juncture applied for bail on behalf of his client.

Defense Counsel said his client has reliable sureties to stand in his recognizance of granting bail, assuring that his client will not jump bail if so granted.

He made his application pursuant to Section 76 (1) of the Criminal Procedure Act of 2024.

Magistrate Fornah however refused to grant bail based on the seriousness of the offence and adjourned the matter for further hearing to Monday, 26th January 2026.
