For The Fight Against COVID-19… GTB Dishes Out Le.350M

One of the leading Banks in Sierra Leone, the Guaranty Trust Bank (GTB) has last Thursday, 9th April 2020, reportedly donated a whooping sum of three hundred and fifty million Leones (Le350,000,000) including other Personal Protective equipment (PPEs) to the Government of Sierra Leone via the recently established COVID-19 Fund.
“It is no secret that the country needs a lot of resources in its fight against the novel Coronavirus pandemic,” the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Bank stated whilst presenting the donation. The bank, he said, feels extremely humbled to donate the said sum and the PPEs.
The donated PPEs include, 100 hand sanitizers, 27 pedal tanks, tissues, among others.
Present at the ceremony which took place at the Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) at Cockrill, west of Freetown were, the head of the National COVID-19 Response Team, Rtd. Brig. Gene. Hassan Kellie Conteh, Board Chairman of the GTB, Dr. George Tayloe-Lewis, Deputy Mayor of Freetown, Osman Koroma, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of GTB, Ade Adeybiyi and the media.
