Fraudulent Matter Goes High Court

Magistrate Hannah Bonnie of the Pademba Road Court No.1 in Freetown on Monday 20th July, 2020 committed Idrissa Bah to the High Court for further trial after granting the accused Le200 million bail.

The accused did not meet the bail condition and was remanded in custody until the condition is met.

The accused was before Magistrate Hannah Bonnie on a count of fraudulent conversation.

According to the indictment, the accused, sometime in 2018, at No.11 Carlton Carew Road off Wilkinson Road, Freetown, fraudulently converted to his use or benefit certain property, that is to say, Le32, 250, 000. 00 (Thirty-Two Million, Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Leones) being proceeds of one Acura WDX Jeep with registration number ANS 007 for sale, entrusted to him by Isatu Bah.

Before committing the matter, Magistrate Bonnie said she had looked at the evidence before her and was satisfied that the prosecution had proved their case beyond all reasonable doubts and, consequently, the accused was committed to the Freetown High Court for further trial.
