The Global Child Solution is an organization that caters for, provides for, and takes care of less-privileged children in Sierra Leone. This organization since its inception has been pivotal to the social development of children in the country.
Global Child Solution is a family-directed project founded and established by Peter Lahai and his wife both of whom are resident in the United States of America (USA), their son who is based in Dubai and Peter Lahai’s brother who is also based in Texas in the USA. Their collective aim is to provide support for less-privileged children through education.
The goal of this organization is to take children off the streets, educate them, and take care of their welfare needs as well as care for their medical concerns when they fall sick.
As at now there are forty (40) children who are benefitting from this organization’s largesse while they continue to live with respective families.
These children are attending different schools across the country, sponsored by the organization to ensure that they acquire quality education.
Even though these sponsored children are living with their parents, the Global Child Solution ensures close and efficient monitoring of their activities in sand out of schools.
This organization in the future through sponsorship will increase the number of target children that needs help to inculcate them into their sponsorship and welfare program through primary, secondary and tertiary education. Global Child Solution ensures the provision of essential school and learning materials that makes learning conducive for its beneficiaries. “Over time, our efforts towards our target beneficiaries have ensured that they have been scoring higher grades in both school and public examinations,” Peter Lahai confirmed.
But according to Mr. Lahai, to maintain such a standard with their target beneficiaries requires sustained financial inflows to meet the regular demands of their support initiative. He admitted that it has not been easy for their organization and for them as sponsors, and therefore appealed to like-mind organizations, sponsors, philanthropists and International Non-Government Organizations and Government Agencies, to come to the support of the Global Child Solution to ensure they reach their aim and objectives of removing children from the streets across the country and giving them quality education that empowers them to be useful citizens in the future.
“I wish to call on all like-mind organizations and Government Agencies to support the Global Child Solutions achieve its overall national aim and objective. We want to ensure that we build abandoned children on the streets with dignity and an assurance that they too are relevant to Sierra Leone overall socioeconomic development,” Mr. Lahai assures.
